ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − A 10-0 run with under six minutes left in the game helped power North Georgia College & State University to a 65-57 win over Flagler College in a Peach Belt Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at Flagler Gym.

North Georgia improved to 7-10 overall and snapped a six-game conference losing streak with its first win since the conference opener. Flagler lost its sixth game in a row and are now 6-11 overall and 1-7 in the Peach Belt.

Whitney Randolph scored a game-high 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field and collected five rebounds and tallied five steals for the Lady Saints. Janyce Early added 13 points, seven rebounds and five steals while Sarah Stinson chipped in with 10 points, a team-high nine rebounds and a game-high four blocked shots. Meredith Montgomery tallied a game-high eight assists for NGCSU.

The first half saw six ties and five lead changes before NGCSU scored the last six points of the half to erase a 23-21 Flagler lead and take a 27-23 advantage into the break.

The Lady Saints countered by making their next four free throws in a row and then made three-of-their-next-four shots to score the next 10 points in a row.

Flagler will travel to Morrow, Ga., on Saturday and take on No. 18 (USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25) Clayton State University at 1:30 p.m.
