VALDOSTA, Ga. − A bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning by Jordan Yost won the game 6-5 for 16th-ranked (Collegiate Baseball Top 30 Poll) Valdosta State University against Flagler College in a non-conference baseball game Tuesday afternoon at Billy Grant Field.

Valdosta State extended its winning streak to three in a row and improved to 13-4 while Flagler had its three-game winning streak snapped and fell to 8-7.

Yost then hit a 1-0 pitch through the hole between shortstop and third base to win the game.

The Blazers re-took the lead, 5-4, in the home half of the fourth on an RBI single by Smith.

Charlie Stewart (Port St. Lucie, Fla./Lincoln Park Academy) singled home a run in the top of the eighth inning to tie the game, 5-5.
