ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − Flagler College routed NCAA Division III member Wesley College of Dover, Del., 9-0 and 22-0, in a non-conference softball doubleheader Thursday night at Saints Field.
Flagler improved to 11-11 while Wesley fell to 0-10.
In the opener, the Saints used a seven-run third inning to pull away from the Wolverines.
Kaycee Lisa (Semminole, Fla./Seminole HS) hit a two-run double and
Brittney Hatem (Hialeah, Fla./Wallace CC-Dothan) hit a two-run single in the frame.
Flagler added two more runs in the fourth.
Chelsea Welch (Pensacola, Fla./Escambia HS) had a triple and scored when the outfielder misplayed the ball. The next batter,
Lauren Jurco (Palm Harbor, Fla./Pasco-Hernando CC), belted her first home run at Flagler.
Kelly Riddick (Hampton, Fla./Central Florida CC) (7-7) tossed four innings and allowed just two hits and struck out six.
McKenzie Davis and Kelly Karle each singled for Wesley. Brittany Steele (0-3) went three and one-third innings and allowed five hits, two earned runs and walked five.

In the second game, Flagler scored five times in the first, six in the second, nine in the third and two more in fourth to win 22-0.
Lauren Ely (Winter Springs, Fla./Winter Springs HS) went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, scored twice and drove in three runs.
Brittany Simmons (Ocala, Fla./Chattanooga State Tech CC) went 2-for-2 with a triple and scored twice while
Andy Hay (Land O’ Lakes, Fla./Polk CC) hit an inside the park three-run home run and
Stacy Piagno (St. Augustine, Fla./Pedro Menendez HS) belted a solo home run in the fourth inning.
Kristen Chapman (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood HS) (4-2) tossed three innings and allowed one hit and struck out two.
Jana Owen (St. Augustine, Fla./Florida CC-Jacksonville) tossed two innings of shutout, one-hit relief and also fanned two.
Nikki Barton and Michelle Day both collected singles for the Wolverines. Tristin Burris (0-2) went two innings and allowed eight hits and five earned runs.
