Second annual Flagler 5K does well again.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. − The Flagler College women’s cross country hosted the second annual Flagler 5K at the Anastasia State Park last Saturday (Apr. 3).

154 participants competed in the event and approximately $2,000 was raised with some of the funds being donated to the Betty Griffin House. The event serves as a fund-raiser for the Flagler women’s cross country team.

There were 14 different age groups for both male and female runners.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Flagler College women’s cross country team finished in 14th place at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional this morning at the McAlpine Creek Park. Taylor Strekel became Flagler’s first all-region runner after finishing in 20th place with a time of 23:09.0.

ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College’s Taylor Strekel and Corey Mundy both earned Peach Belt Conference Cross Country Freshman of the Year honors after the completion of the conference championships last Saturday at Aiken, S.C.
